Foundy started his professional life as a sports and local press events reporter and photographer, working in north east England from the early 80's.
Later he moved to work in East Anglia with the local newspapers and TV Stations.
In September '88 he flew to India, and travelled extensively photographing and documenting many interesting subjects.
In late December'88 he made his way to Thailand, which has been home ever since.

1989, saw Foundy get involved with the Cambodian conflict, which he photographed and documented for press agencies around the world. but got taken captive in late 1990 by Heng Samrin troops, as he photographed a black market camp. he was interrogated then later released, after thai military personnel came over the border to negotiate with the Cambodian soldiers to set him free. he was unhurt by the incident but had his pride bashed a little! from then on Foundy has been involved in many photographic and video production projects and presently provides very high quality images of just about any subject.
